I never thought I’d do a pageant at the age of 24; but my reasons for doing it weren't for the glamour or beauty part but mainly to have an opportunity to exhibit my photographs for the talent part of the show. The organizers "NANO" and founder Mark Mcgough are involved in various art, photography and fashion projects. The competition was to promote exactly that by involving local shops, restuarants to sponser the event. I was crowned Miss Talent and recieved positive feedback for my work. This pushed me in the right direction and from then on I started building a portfolio which I hope one day will help me start an apprenticeship or my own business.
